INTRODUCCIÓN

En un mundo global como el que vivimos es incuestionable la importancia del conocimiento de la lengua inglesa. También lo es en los negocios, para empresas y economistas, para quienes es habitual interrelacionarse a diario a nivel internacional con otros profesionales e instituciones. Este webinar está dirigido a los economistas en general y a quienes están vinculados a la contabilidad en particular. El objetivo del mismo es el de recorrer aquellos conceptos y contenidos en inglés más relevantes y de utilidad para cualquier persona vinculada al mundo contable y a la información que le rodea y que, todo experto contable debe conocer y dominar. Para ello, se tomará como base el Plan General de Contabilidad en inglés y se explicará principalmente su contenido, apoyándonos en la contabilidad financiera. Además, se recordará el cálculo y definición de algunas de las principales ratios para el análisis económico-financiero de una empresa

CONTENIDO 

1. Accounting as an information system (Users and aims of the accounting information; accounting information requirements).
2. Theory of the patrimony (The patrimony of the company; The accounting identity: economic and financial structure; Patrimony positions; Analysis of the economic structure and the financial structure; The balance sheet; The operating cycle).
3. The Accounting Methodology and the double entry accounting system (The T-Account: structure and terminology; the “to debit/credit” agreement; The accounting documents; The chart of accounts in the Spanish General Accounting Plan).
4. The profit/loss for the period(the accounting result: expenses & incomes accounts. Staff expenses; The Income Statement).
5. Accounting for V.A.T.
6. The accounting cycle(phases; Determining the result; The closing of the financial year accounting; The developing of the Annual Accounts; Legal regulation about the accounting register).
7. Cash on hand and at banks(The financial instruments: concept and classification;The cash availabilities; Deposits and Guarantees; The Cash Flow Statement; Measurement of  “Cash” in a foreign currency).
8. The accounting regulation(comparability of the financial information. IAS/IFRS; Regulation of the financial information in Spain; The Spanish General Accounting Plan: Structure, conceptual framework and annual accounts).
9. Some basic ratios to remember in the financial statement analysis of firms.
